Wonder what all the dunderhead followers of this loser think now? Wonder if they’ve even heard about his “sex scandal”. Guess it may be a tad inappropriate to judge him BEFORE we hear his defense. I mean, you ARE innocent (in this country) until proven guilty. It completely creeps me out to think ANYONE would find Al Gore or David Letterman attractive enough, on any level, to disrobe & get intimate (with either of them). The thought makes me throw up a little.

I think I’ll stick with my gut on this one. Gore just seems to be an “icky” man.

I need a hero.

Posted: March 21st, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

I’m holding out for a hero.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking.

Maybe.

Then again MAYBE a hero will show up during the vote today.  Someone with a plan.

A ’street wise Hercules’ or a ‘white knight on a fiery steed’.

Maybe they ‘told’ wicked Pelosi they were a ‘yes’ but in the end they pull out a precious ‘NO’.

Maybe that someone ‘fresh from the fight’ will show up.

‘He’s gotta be sure & it’s gotta be soon & he’s gotta be larger than life.’

Until then—fresh from 1984—here’s Bonnie Tyler, with a similar desire.

Enjoy.

Things like this bring a glimmer of hope.

Thanks Hugh Hewitt for reading it on  your show this afternoon.

Thanks Bill Bennett for being there bright & early.

Thanks Dennis Prager for being  perfect in an otherwise  imperfect world.

Mark Levin…your voice soothes me.

Dennis Miller…words can’t describe you.  You’re not of this world (in a good way) and I’ve know that for a very long time ;) .

If it weren’t for talk radio…my ship would have already-done-sunk.

It’s amazing to see so many doctors who picked up the WRONG white jacket to sit in agreement and encourage this healthcare reform.

AND I have no clue how this partisan DESTRUCTION ever got the name Reconciliation.

These people all need to get on meds…unfortunately, if the gov’t is paying for the treatment, I think we can assume all their meds will be placebos.

PS sir–the 39% increase in insurance rates in California?……IT’S CALIFORNIA!  THE STATE IS DEAD IN THE WATER!  OF COURSE THEY HAVE TO INCREASE THEIR RATES!

Tragedy

hmm

hmm

Although I felt like we could finally see what should be taking place behind the scenes on the health care debate, this had to be the first time the Right has truly been heard.  Or at least it was the first time that those of us at home could yell at the President in agreement about the absurdity of this bill.

This guy is the most arrogant public figure I have ever experienced. I am so tired of his “I’m the president so I know better and more than you-na na na na na na” approach to governing this country. It’s old and tiring and an absolute lie.

I stand amazed that I am living during this time.  My children, when they are old enough to understand it all, will be stunned that our nation ever allowed this man anywhere near the White House let alone, run the greatest country on the planet—into the ground.

I am afraid that because of this guy, there is no honor in the office of presidency anymore.  It’s embarrassing really-especially after watching him yesterday.  Disturbing and sad.  I remain overwhelmed -still- that I am alive to see this day.

Good news though. .. I’m planning on a Remorse for Voting for Obama photo book.

I have a feeling it will be wildly successful.

“…a radical, an extremely conservative radical.”

Gallo

It’s moments when I find tidbits like this that I smile,

as if I’ve discovered a buried treasure  &  I think “who would have known?”

Who would have known that Vincent Gallo would craft something like this?

Lang-Gallo1

“Vincent Gallo on the campaign trail fighting for the good of everyone.”

…but sadly I can’t put it on my birthday or my Mother’s Day list BECAUSE, it’s been sold.

And it was a one-of-a-kind.

I think the Republican party needs a little weirdness.  True weirdness is good.  But I think “normal” is weird and the so-called “alternative crowd” who like to think they are weird, are really a bunch of sheep.  They are a bunch of pretenders.

Check out Gallo’s site here.

One bright spot in this administration, if there is one…almost daily SOMETHING out of the White House makes me want to barf.

It’s making for a wonderful weight loss program.

The latest yak inspiring news:

The  new Whitehouse.gov IPhone app!  This IS NOT A JOKE.  You can now take the White House with you wherever you go.

GOODY goody gum drops.

Just kidding.

Didn’t the White House super hero just mention something about not communicating ENOUGH… not getting through to the American people (this past year)?

This from the man who had MORE face time & news coverage, not to mention TIME magazine covers than ANY OTHER PRESIDENT , EVER!

Mr. President, arrogance is not virtuous.

My suggestion is,  get over yourself.

Seriously.

People have had enough of you.  More than enough.  They are turned off by you & they are turning you off—literally.

WAY TO GO Scott Brown & THANK YOU Massachusetts!

scottbrown-1

At his victory party,  Scott Brown said he asked Obama “Would you like me to drive the truck down to Washington, so you can see it.”

And I almost FELL OUT of my seat,  laughing.

Then Olbermann cut in making fun of Brown (yes, we were in enemy territory, viewing their take on things)…stating “before we get to the family chowder recipes”…blah blah blah…”Scott Brown who is a truck driving every man who just HAPPENS to be a lawyer”…blah blah blah.

SCREEEEEEEEEEEECH, bam-WAIT!

WHAT did he say?

WHAT did he say?!

Is it all of a sudden a PROBLEM to ELECT a LAWYER ?

But NOT if the lawyer happens to be the current President or Vice President?

Am I missing something?

I guess Olbermann and other entitled Liberals have a  problem with the “every man” part of that description more so than the “lawyer” part of it.

They don’t like the “every man”.

They don’t like him at all.

But they are OUTNUMBERED.

And I am smiling.

have you met Mr. Gutfeld?

Posted: January 2nd, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

If  not, allow me to introduce you.  He’s simply my favorite.  He’s the reason I opted for the DVR option with cable.   I cannot miss an episode.  He’s quite simply, the cat’s meow.

This past Thursday’s “GREGALOGUE” is spot on.  If it seems a little like cheating, that I am just linking & referring you to another’s website, well I don’t mean to.  There’s just LOTS going on right now.  The holidays, my eye was almost knocked out by my 10 year old’s flailing arms, and I do have another blog to tend to.  So I don’t mean to cheat. Besides, I’m referring you to the best in the business.  And he’s darn cute to boot.

Here’s Mr. Gutfeld:

gutfeld

That’s his new book (which is not yet available but you should pre-order your copy NOW) & below is Thursday’s “GREGALOGUE”.  I strongly suggest you add his page to your favorites & stop by each day for his witty perspective on politics.

THURSDAY’S GREGALOGUE: TERROR OFFSETS

So this is normally the time for the media’s “winners and losers” lists, but this year, who needs it. We know the winners are the folks on Flight 253. The losers? The rest of us.

See, those passengers survived because of a crappy explosive and their own bravery. They were not saved by our Homeland Security, or our President’s “cool” approach to fighting terror.

And that scares the crap out of me. And it should scare the crap out of you.

And it all goes back to the Climate Change conference.

Can you believe in a decade marked by the greatest challenge in our lifetimes – terror – that our President seems more focused on ice caps than icing terrorists? Sorry: America should have insisted on a worldwide conference on terror, well before one on climate change. Fact is, terrorists, – not temperature – go out of their way to kill people. And if your country doesn’t renounce that kind of “man-caused” activity, then the U.S. should assert our dissatisfaction, in drones (I call that “terror offsets.”)

I also think everyone should pretend the attack on Flight 253 succeeded. After all, an attempt at terror is still terror by definition – regardless of the terrorist’s competence. Sadly, it’s our government who disdains the word “terror” more so than they do actual terrorists. With this Administration, every act of terror is just an “isolated extremist,” untethered to belief – and that prevents Obama from “connecting the dots,” even when those dots are located on exploding underpants.

And if you disagree with me, then you’re probably a racist homophobe who hates the planet.

the climate CHANGES!

Posted: December 26th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Let’s define “climate”.
Pronunciation: \ˈklī-mət\
Function: noun

a : the average course or condition of the weather at a place usually over a period of years as exhibited by temperature, wind velocity, and precipitation b : the prevailing set of conditions (as of temperature and humidity) indoors <a climate-controlled office>

So those who believe the global warming hype quickly changed the name from “Global Warming” to “Climate Change” BEFORE record blizzards hit our country.  Whatever works for them, huh?

Wear one of these, if you please.  I do warn you:   it just might get people fired up.

shame on you, Martha!

Posted: November 24th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 2 Comments »
"Does this picture make ME look boring?"

"Does this picture make ME look boring?"

Well, it’s time. That point in my life where I’ve decide to cut ties with a long time “friend”, a someone who has had a profound impact on the architecture of my person. Someone I have found is NOT who I thought she was (or who I wanted her to be). No longer can I deny who/what she really is—hoity toity, contemptuous, cool (not in the GOOD way), haughty and snobbish. Indeed, this is “that time” for me & that someone is Martha Stewart.

For most of my adult life,  I have credited this monotone queen of the Hamptons with my abilities to organize, decorate, cook, bake, craft, gift wrap and the numerous other creative tendencies I possess.

I have had a subscription to MSL for as long as I can remember AND I currently have that entire archive in my garage in a vintage Steelcase shelving unit, along with the index which tells me where to find specific topics like “4th of July (decorations)” or “party lighting”. This index is an alphabetical account of which issue, by month & year, you will find the desired article.

BUT I am ridding myself of these memories . Yep, ridding myself of them once & for all. And, since it’s firepit season, I’ll likely use them for kindling. I will also be removing the link to her site from my site’s  category “places we ♥” —because Martha,  I no longer ♥ you!

Why such the harsh response to Martha? She may be savvy at many things but  apparently knowing when to keep her yap from yapping is not one (of them). She recently spout off rudely about Sarah Palin citing her as BORING , stating “she scares me” and that she is (ooooooooh, ready for this?) DANGEROUS.

Now Martha doesn’t scare me & unless she plans on jabbing a knitting needle in my temple after reading this, she’s not dangerous—–but BORING?

BORING ? !

THAT adjective is something that Martha has cornered the market on. She owns “BORING” lock, stock & barrel. Ms. Monotone is PAINFULLY BORING. So much so that I find her extremely difficult to listen to without cringing and wincing. And since the big giant government that is currently in control is planning on implementing a new “BoTax” on my forehead treatments, I choose not to intentionally put myself through anything that knowingly makes me wince or cringe.

For the record I’d like to make this clear: I am NOT saying any of this because Sarah Palin is my candidate of choice for the big run in 2012 . I say this because of the simple fact that Palin seems like a GENUINELY NICE PERSON. A stand up woman that just happens to be a beauty and I see absolutely NO REASON for someone like Martha to bag on her for any reason.

REMAIN APOLITICAL and keep your trap zipped.

Even if someone specifically asks your opinion on Palin, decline to answer, or give something vanilla but don’t be hateful.

Don’t make it so glaringly obvious that you are quickly becoming a tired old woman that will one day in the future have to turn over her golden glue gun and glitter jars to a younger, hotter version of a female.

w7

(Maybe, JUST MAYBE, Martha doesn’t like Palin because of “that one interview”.  While in Alaska, Greta Van Susteren’s camera crew showed Plain fixing lunch, getting ready to toss ordinary hot dogs, stuffed with cheese under the broiler. For Heaven’s sake! The audacity of intentionally eating such MEDIOCRE food…could it be she (Palin) has something in common with Rachael Ray? Something Martha just doesn’t get? )

Soldier Ft. Hood

I’m just going to go out on a limb here, even though my president told me not to jump to any conclusions until we have all the facts, (just like he did with the cop and his friend professor Gates), and say that Major Nidal Malik Hasan, who shot up and killed our troops in AMERICA, was perhaps not united with Americans.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this man related much more to muslim terrorist organizations than he did to his fellow army brothers, and that there was NO WAY he could have gone over and fought against “his own”.  How could you?  How could anyone?  You couldn’t.

And the fact that Mr. Obama could condemn the act, but cannot condemn this man, regardless of any facts that come out, is appalling to me.  HE MURDERED OUR TROOPS SIR!  Are you  kidding me?  This proves even more to me that this president really does side more with evil than with good.  If ever there was a time to stand up and cry out against an individual, this would be it….but no, he’s going to wait for the “evidence.”

How very “socially just” of you.

Oh REALLY,  Mr. Obama?  You’re just figuring this out?  WELL, as I’ve said before, you can’t teach common sense, not even in a smarty-pants school like Harvard.

OF COURSE parents shouldn’t rely solely on teachers to give their children what they need to excel or even “just make it” in life.  This is such a “no brainer”.

But you are sooooo smart.  Such a GREAT orator.  Such a super-duper guy that I am dumb-founded that you are JUST NOW figuring this out.

I’m, of course, referring to the last line of this article and Obama’s “teachable moment”.

And to think that when I clicked on the headline on Drudge, (”PRIVACY? Obama decides to go off TelePrompTer, use daughter's grades as teachable moment... ") I thought he was GIVING UP his TOTUS.

No luck on that.

A closer look at a couple of things here…

Posted: October 19th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Here we have 2 very intersting stories.  One from Breitbart TV and the other from World Net Daily.

It seems that the Whitehouse is claiming that the Foxnews is not a legitimate news source, and yet the administration seems to need to control the mainstream media.

Now, if Fox was not a legitimate news source why in the world would the administration spend so much time, finances and efforts to discredit this organization?  Why is it that day after day they seem to attempt to shoot down or quietly dismiss any of the cases brought against it by the staff on the Fox news channel.  Wouldn’t you think it would be much more beneficial to them if they just acknowledeged the scandal taking place in and all around them, rather than continually trying to draw even MORE attention to Fox news.

I guess I’m happy they are in a war with Fox, because I know that it is only drawing more and more attention to the TRUTH.

Thank you Obama administration.

From Breitbart TV:

pic

President Obama Believes Fox News Is Not a ‘Legitimate News Organization’

October 18, 2009 at 10:11 am – CNN
Dateline: Washington, DC

“The way to look at it, and the way we — the President looks at it and we look at it, it’s not a news organization so much as it has perspective. And that’s a different take. And more importantly is not have the CNNs and the others in the world basically be led in following Fox, as if that, what they’re trying to do is a legitimate news organization in the sense of both sides, a sense of a valued opinion.”

AND THEN OF COURSE, WE HAVE THIS:

pure genius.

Posted: October 16th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

In a moment of pure genius I came up with this brilliant idea,  tonight…while partaking in a Kilt Lifter.

Rush Limbaugh.  Racist?  I think not.  His bumper music (according to Wikepedia Rush is the ‘pioneer of bumper music’) is ALWAYS classic R&B, Motown, soul.  I’m thinking NOT RACIST. But this is taking me away from my original topic.

Rush should put out a ‘Limbaugh Bumper Music’ album.  He can even give all  proceeds to charity.

Or not.

That part doesn’t matter to me.

I never have an abundance of cash floating around to give away but I know Rush donates scads of cash to charity so if he thinks it appropriate, so be it.

This  album idea is pure genius I tell you.

What do you say Rush?

Are you in?

Let me know.

I can’t help but laugh, for now.

Posted: October 2nd, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

Obama-fro

SMUG.  SMUG.  SMUG.

ME.  ME.  ME.

Wasn’t the current president of the United States hoisted high by his ‘followers’ who praised his ability (which remains to be seen)…the ability  to bring all countries together because he was SO COOL, SO NEW,  SO DIFFERENT,  SO HOPEY-CHANGEY and all that?

Because he was a rock star, a super star, a cool cat, people would think America was “cool” again, right?

Ha-ha-ha.  Not working out so swell for you now is it?

The POTUS  actually tried selling the idea of the Olympics being held in Chi Town by using Michelle as (see here @ 1:40) “a pretty big selling point for the city”.  I am now completely convinced he is out of his mind.   His overwhelming arrogance is consuming every ounce of energy he might put to better use by solving some pressing issues in our country.  PERHAPS YOU SHOULD START WITH THE ECONOMY!

Oh, that’s right.  That doesn’t have an effect on you and YOUR FAMILY, Mr. President.  Your wife can wear the $850 sequined sweater  from J. Crew (as the liberal media raves on about how down to earth she is for shopping at a ‘catalog store’) .    Or  she can give out food to the needy while sporting  $540 shiny sneakers.

Perfectly illustrating my point.  You’re out of touch.  Without a doubt, you are without a clue.

I watch and read all the news I have time for & I laugh sometimes and then something hits me in the side of the head & reminds me what’s at stake….then I get angry or worried or teary eyed.

But for now I laugh!   Because I KNEW all along that you weren’t cool.  NOT THE LEAST BIT COOL.

I could see right through that smug grin on your entitled face…and every time you LOSE at something (like securing the Olympics for Chi Town in 2016)  your chances of reelection slide down that slippery political hill…and although it is years away, there is a glimmer of  light at the end of a very long tunnel and one day, you will no longer be the POTUS, you will no longer be sneering at us from beside your shiny TOTUS, giving us that look of contempt for being so ‘common’, so un refined, for being such simpletons.  So I laugh now knowing one day I shall bid you a long overdue ’so long’.

But I am sure that very soon you and your administration will do something to bring me to tears.   That’s the ONE THING I can count on from you ‘COOL CATS’ in the White House.

Neutered

Posted: September 27th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

I’m wondering how we’re going to tell Iran to disarm this covert–aka HIDDEN–2nd  uranium enrichment facility when the Alpha dog of the planet just neutered himself by saying we all needed to “share the power”  (my words).

More precisely, he said before the UN  ”Responsibility and leadership in the 21st century demand more. In an era when our destiny is shared, power is no longer a zero sum game. No one nation can or should try to dominate another nation. No world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will succeed. No balance of power among nations will hold.”

I am eager to see how we will share this power.  How is it possible to step aside as the greatest nation on the planet, and not become the  nation ‘ruled over’.  It seems like quite a gamble, and yet, here we are.  We have a president who’s willing to bailout other nations egos by giving up our status in the world.  Amazing.

Read more at: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/23/obama-un-speech-text_n_296017.html

Obama himself said,  “the size and configuration of this facility is inconsistent with a peaceful program” and it’s a “direct challenge to the basic compact at the center of the nonproliferation regime. These rules are clear: All nations have the right to peaceful nuclear energy, those nations with nuclear weapons must move toward disarmament, those nations without nuclear weapons must forsake them.”

Ahmadinejad’s response? “This does not mean we must inform Mr. Obama’s administration of every facility that we have,”  it “simply adds to the list of issues to which the United States owes the Iranian nation an apology over.”

Huh.  So it doesn’t sound like Ahmadinejad is going to play by the ‘golden rule’ theory.  He has no intention of sharing any power once we fully surrender all.  He seems to have his own plans.

Anyone wish we had taken a little vote on this before Obama verbally gave up our status in the world?

What is going on here?

In my own backyard…and, I’m certain, all over the country.

Posted: August 26th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

While talking with a neighbor yesterday, an Obama voter and supporter, she told me she was done.  She’s throwing in the towel.  It’s  NOT as you might hope. She’s not throwing in the towel on her support of the President and all his bismal ideas, plans, and policies.  Instead, she is throwing in the towel on paying ANY bills.   It’s just too much for her.

A few weeks ago, she told me how she was not able to make payments on a rental property that she had because she was not getting paid from the renter.  She was several months behind when she tried to make a partial payment.   Upon explaining the situation to the mortgage company, they told her that they would not take a partial payment AND would not help her until she was 5 months behind.   She stopped paying for the full five months.  At that time, the mortgage company adjusted her payments, to be much smaller, and her intrest rate dropped to 3% for the first 5 years, 4% for the 6th year, 5% for the 7th year, 6% for the 8th year, and 6.25% for the 9th year.

In the end, however, she just stopped making payments in an effort to let it go into forclosure.

I told her that that was incredible.  That I am paying 8.25% fixed on our student loan, and  maybe I can get it reduced.   Her response was “I can’t believe you’re doing that!  No one does that!  No one pays their student loans back Stacy.”  She was shocked and laughing at the same time.  She works at a hospital here in town and explained that when she asked interns about their student loans, how they will be paying them forever, “they said ‘We don’t have it forever.’  and they laugh about it.  There is some sort of scam going on over there.”  She went on to explain– how the, in her own words, “brothers and sisters” at work were teaching her how to scam the system–not in regards to student loans per se, but everything else.

So it is, my friend has decided to stop paying for her rental property, she has stopped making payments on the apartment she lives in, she has stopped paying electric and gas and utilities.  And I said, “SO I AM PAYING FOR IT!”  and her response was “Yep.”  She has worked her whole life to get somewhere and it has gotten her nothing.  She’s tired of paying everyone else’s way when they are sitting around doing nothing.  She even pointed out something on a paper that came home from school, about free or reduced food prices for kids who are homeless, runaway and migrant children.   She’s furious.  Yet this is what she voted for.

stacy'sletter

She claims that everything we were brought up to believe is the “right way,” is NOT.  We need to do everything backwards from what we thought was right.    Hmmm.

My pulse is racing as I type this.  AGGHHHH!

I was just on the phone with her to clarify some of the details of this story and in the process, I said, “So this is what you wanted when you voted?”

Her- “No, this was going on long before he was in office.”

me- “But you realize that he is massively compounding what is going on in regards to the taxpayers forking over their hard earned money in order to pay for these people doing things like you are doing right now?”

Her- “Listen, this has been going on long before.  I was paying for these people long before this.  You can’t make change in just a couple of months.  I don’t care if it’s Hitler in there, I’m done.  I’ve worked hard and it got me nowhere.  I’m done.  Call me a loser.  I’m proud to be.  It’s going to get me out of this hole.  I can’t worry about the rest of you.”

And just so we all know, our president had nothing to do with it.

So that’s my neighbor.  Anyone?
