where crafting (of all sorts) and politics collide.

Don’t read, just vote.

Remember when we were promised by the President, in his claims to usher transparency into the government, that we would have 5 days to review any bills written, before the House and Senate voted on it?

On the heels of the Cap and Trade vote, of which a 300 page ammendment was added not even 15 hours before it was voted on, AND following the largest stimulus bill ever created, covering one thousand and seventy one pages of pork which was presented not even 24 hours before it was to be voted on, I believe THIS would be a good time to stop and ask our President if we could review the Health care bill before congress votes.

We need to hold this man accountable to the promises he made to transparency so that the public can truly see what is going on in this administration and congress. I guaruntee if Boehner had access to primetime television on the big three networks Friday evening, discussing the nonsense in the Cap and Trade bill, people would have watched and been outraged. Same with the stimulus and same with this Health care bill that is going to transform even more, for the worse, the America that we know and love because of our freedoms and liberties are being snatched away day by day. They are being stolen out from under us, happening thru votes made after only hours to review final bills or amendments, and without the publics knowledge of what is TRULY going on.

Shame on President Obama. Shame on Nancy Pelosi. Shame on Harry Reid. Shame on any congress person, Democrat or Republican, that does not put up a fight to have ample time to review and share with their constituents what in the world is going on in their country. And shame on us for allowing our government to railroad us for all these months. Not too transparent sir.

Vote ‘em out OR, sick Uncle Ted on ‘em? Hmmm, it’s tempting but I suppose they must be VOTED OUT. Can you say BUH-BYE?

President “Close Out”

Posted: June 26th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

Well, well, well.  WHAT have we here?   Can it be evidence that after only a few months into his presidency, BO is being CLOSED OUT?

Well my friends, IT’S TRUE!  I’m not a big fan of Big Lots…especially the one closest to my house…it’s in a seedy part of the seediest neighborhood near my neighborhood, across the freeway & well, I just get an icky feeling shopping there, like I need a bath afterward, but I digress.  Yesterday I was in search of “all things American flag-esque” and was especially trying to find a long, very long run of mini bunting. I have the vision in my brain of what I want and  was feverently searching for it, regardless of where the search took me.  As I walked closer to the one small display of  “4th of July” decor, my eyes landed on President Close Out. I was amazed I tell you, simply amazed at how many cases of this ridiculous plate there were!  Box after box after box of  the made in China CHANGE IS COMING reminder.  For $2, nonetheless.  Crud, you can even dig enough sofa change (change of a different kind) out to buy this fancy-schmancy knick-knack.

Thankfully, as more & more folks WAKE UP,  fewer & fewer people will need a plate on display to remind them that change has already come & sadly we will experience more & more as we keep our gloves fastened tightly & fight our way through the coming years of BO’s time in office.   Like any painful experience in life, we will grown from it and although our country will certainly suffer more damage in the coming few years, the Conservative party will grow and when it is OUR time again, we will have plenty of able bodied souls to mend Her.

Viva El Ted!

warning: There is a small amount of cursing in this video.

One thing you can always count on, Uncle Ted speaking his mind.

He is OH-SO refreshing!

My favorite (in this footage) is his reference to Hillary, Barbara & Diane as a “whole gaggle of numb nuts”.

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Waking Up

Posted: June 22nd, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

I am so happy to see that people are finally waking up to the debacle of this stimulus plan. This administration has stolen $800 billion plus from us, for ONE bill, which was going to drive the country into oblivian if we didn’t pass the thing right then and there– and we have seen NOTHING happening!

He swore to us that there was no pork in this bill while every day we are finding that it is riddled with pork–which will stimulate nothing but the left’s reelections–and their turtles freedom to cross safely.

Don’t get me wrong… I’m starting to understand that even Obama didn’t have a clue what was in this bill considering NO ONE did. Pelosi and Reed must be the ultimate puppetmasters, is all I can come up with, because there is no way one person could ever deliberately choose to run the country into the ground so horrifically so quickly whithout an ounce of haste or concern for the long term consequences.

I know Republican’s don’t deserve any leniency here either. It’s because of their weakness and lack of courage that all of this pork was still on the table when Obama got there.

The future of our country isn’t just about the next election, it’s about our families, our liberties, our security. Get some courage and integrity. I’m glad that you are finally seeing what others of us were trying to scream from the rooftops. You’re a little late to the table, but at least now you’re paying attention. We need to force politicians to look themselves in the eye and stand up for what is right not just who or what makes them feel warm and gushy inside or gets their agenda passed in the next election!

Government is supposed to work for me! Why am I now a slave to my own government? This is not the American dream. If this is the “New America” Obama is talking about, no thank you! The way I see it, it’s nothing more than a lead balloon over our heads and the heads of our children and grandchildren.

ENOUGH!

Just deserts for Perez. (no, it’s not misspelled)

loser.

sad.

HA! See what happens when you run around poking people in the eye, just to draw attention to yourself…you got it! Just deserts. The antagonistic little cry baby got socked in the eye. Then he suddenly found religion when he responded to the alleged “clockers” claim that it was a random fan that hit him, saying “You know very well, and I know very well, and God knows that it was not a random fan that hit me.”

I’m wondering when Garofalo’s turn is.

My in-laws always seem to hit a home run on the books they gift me with. When we arrived home from baseball this morning, there was an unexpected surprise box of books waiting for us, on our doorstep. This one is mine! THANKS folks…I L♥VE it.

Social justice, imperialism or just plain hypocrisy.

I’m wondering why it is acceptable, on the one hand, for the United States of America to go to the aid of a distressed american, enslaving them with no exit strategy, and it’s called social justice. Yet when America goes to the aid of a distressed nation, even if we have an exit strategy, it’s called imperialism.

fed up.

Posted: June 17th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: therapuetic rant | 1 Comment »

It’s not a stretch to say I could title just about any piece on here, “fed up” but this one snagged it.

It seems one of the most over-talked-about topics, since the election of our current amatuer president, is all things GAY. Quite frankly, it’s beyond “YAWN TIME”, I’m fed up. It’s no longer boring, it’s downright annoying. I just ran across this article through a link at Drudge & I should have known BETTER than to start in reading but read I did & then I came across this part & it really hit a nerve:

“People feel they’re owed an apology,” said Richard Socarides, a New York lawyer who advised President Bill Clinton on gay issues. “People in the gay community feel he over-promised and under-delivered. Now, with over 250 discharges from the military on his watch … the grace period is over.”

Is this guy out of his freakin’ mind? “People in the gay community”, I think it is safe to say that more than just the oh-so-precious-protected-gay-community feel that BO over-promised & under-delivered…MANY, MANY MORE.

another especially rattling excerpt:
“When a president tells you he’s going to be different, you believe him,” said John Aravosis, a Washington-based gay activist. “It’s not that he didn’t follow through on his promises, he stabbed us in the back.”

Since BO produced absolutely NO EVIDENCE of his credentials, NOT ONE, why would anyone with half a brain in their skull, BELIEVE the hype?

pull your heads out next time.

pull your heads out & stop whining.

This is one time I don’t mind saying, I TOLD YOU SO. Although none of us that voted AGAINST this man (and his unproven promises) deserve what’s going on, I have to say the rest of you (who voted for the unproven) are getting exactly what you deserve. Maybe next time you will pull your head out of wherever it happens to be at the time you cast your vote & remember the devil is in the details. SO PAY ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS!

BO’s platform was based on & filled with nothing of substance and you ate the garbage up like it was some sort of magic nectar. Now you are whining like a bunch of spoiled brats with your empty silver spoons in your un-callused hands. To you I say, WISE UP.

As for you “highly educated” Obama-zombies, gay or straight, I’ll share my favorite fortune cookie treasure: “A handful of common sense is worth a bushel of learning.”

I guess the only unfortunate thing about common sense is that it can’t be taught. It’s not on the academic listing at Harvard, not at Princeton, not Dartmouth, Yale, Brown, Cornell or Columbia. You either have it or you don’t. I suppose those of us with it can HOPE those of you with higher intelligence and education levels will develop some sort of “common sense nectar” and then YOU can all partake!

Cheers!

“I am what you make me; nothing more. I swing before your eyes as a bright gleam of color, a symbol of yourself.” -Franklin K. Lane, Secretary of the Interior, delivered at a 1914 Flag Day celebration.

Patriots give me a warm & fuzzy feeling inside, so does baseball.

Did you display old glory today?

NOW backs a conservative?

Posted: June 13th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Clearly the world is, in fact, coming to an end.

The National Organization for Women has sided with Sarah Palin on the disgust they feel for David Letterman’s disturbingly crude jokes about Palin’s daughter.

They sided with a CONSERVATIVE WOMAN.

“They also criticized Letterman for joking about what he called Palin’s “slutty flight attendant look” as yet another example of how the media love to focus on a woman politician’s appearance, especially as it relates to her sexual appeal to men.” Ron Moore, June 12, 2009

Unfortunately I don’t see you calling for him to be fired, ladies. Do we remember what happened to Imus for his comments? And unlike Dave, he apologized.

Kim Gandy, president of the National Organization for Women, who called Don Imus’ words “beyond racist and sexist.” Her organization launched a drive in the midst of the Imus dust-up for members to contact Imus’ corporate bosses at CBS Corp. and NBC Universal to demand his firing. The National Ledger, Nadia Brown April 19,2007

And Imus WAS fired. Why not the same force with Letterman? Why not the same venom? Why not call for his resignation or demand HIS firing?

Well, I guess, one step at a time. Somehow, in this messed up world we live in, NOW and I have fallen into agreement on something. Now THAT is some change I wasn’t expecting.

the liberal snake will eat its own tail.

Posted: June 12th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Maybe there IS hope after all. I’m not the least bit pleased with how our country is currently being “run”, IT’S BEING RUN INTO THE GROUND and I am ready for CHANGE! (yeah-yeah, I know, that buzz word is worn out.)

Perhaps the buffoonery & antics WILL all come screeching to a halt, sooner as opposed to later. It looks hopeful when even left leaning celebrities are beginning to show signs of (yawn) being tired & bored of the Obama administration.

Does Jon Stewart actually call Tim Geithner a “born loser” & “nerd”, in the same sentence? I believe he does AND then goes on to accuse Brian Williams of having the “hots for the breakout star” aka Obama.
(Brian Williams IS extremely creepy in this so called “special presentation”.)

I think the Liberal snake is starting to eat its own tail and the thought of that brings to mind another worn out buzz word, “HOORAY”!

Matt Lauer, do your research.

Posted: June 11th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

While watching the Today Show Tuesday morning, which is rare considering I’m usually watching Curious George or something of the like at that hour, I saw a segment on the “financial cost of cancer”.
The entire segment was on the financial devistation of families because of their insurance, going into detail regarding how a particular family “did everything right” in regards to insurance and yet were still financially devistated.
Jean Chatzky was on, as well as one of NBC’s own contributing doctors, Dr. Nancy Snyderman. After discussing how AWFUL insurance is, Matt Lauer asked the doctor “And if you think about it, THIS happens to these people who had insurance, what about the 46 million people who dont have insurance or are under insured, not only do they have to pay the out of pocket, now they have to pay the rest of it.”
I think Matt may have found Dr. Snyderman’s response a bit humbling considering his very leading question. “Sometimes,” Snyderman answered, “when you have nothing, you can access the care all the way through, through your public hospital, and you have a better chance of accessing everything. It’s really the people who play by the rules, who frankly, come up short.”

Once again, the people who do the right thing get the short end of the stick. (Though that’s not what Matt Lauer thought.) We are paying extravagant amounts for ourselves and families, while those who have decided they just don’t want to deal with insurance, or choose to buy a big screen tv that month instead of buy or pay their insurance, are getting better coverage than we are. We are footing their bill. What could be better for them?

Does Matt think they’ll get the ride all the way thru on the governments dime? He’s crazy. We see how the government is running the car companies. What makes him think they won’t do the same with health care. Government is not going to pay for all the treatments people need regardless if it’s cancer or any other long term treatment–or short for that matter.

From the looks of it from my pocketbook, I’d be willing to pay out of pocket for any treatments I might need that are not covered, AND I will pay grossly inflated amounts to help others who don’t have insurance. But don’t, please don’t, make me get treated for any possible illness or disease on the government’s dime. THEY DON’T HAVE ONE. Oh yeah, thats right… they’ll print one which will then deflate the dollar which will increase my taxes to pay for that! So instead of paying twice for my insurance and theirs, I’ll get hit a third time. p>

Nice try Matt, subtly trying to push the nationalized healthcare agenda because of the “poor” uninsured. We don’t want it, and though the uninsured might not realize it, neither do they.

what in the h-e-double hockey stick is she wearing?

what in the h-e-double hockey stick is she wearing?

Can you even IMAGINE the horror of the relentless left wing newsies if Sarah Palin even considered donning this frightening ensemble? Boy oh boy would Letterman have jumped all over the opportunity to slam Palin if she even THOUGHT of leaving the house wearing THIS!
