That’s how I feel when I hear any uniformed/misinformed liberal or left leaning person TRY & justify any of their small pathetic “points”. Today someone at work told me that Mormons are racists someone else on Facebook commented on a stupid Obama poll that they would “vote again for Obama” even if he drowned kittens! Another blog I happened across, which was a DESIGN BLOG, not a political blog went on & on in their archives about how horrid GW Bush was…how low his approval ratings were when leaving office & on & on she went. In the comments section, someone had commented that the government is made up of more than 1 person & they cited the statistics of the Democratic congress’ approval rating at the same time. Little Miss Blogger didn’t care to be corrected & proceeded to rip on the commenter explaining she (blogger) is fully aware of the way our government is structured & that this person (who she was obviously pissed at for daring to see things differently than herself) apparently had nothing to do other than troll the internet for blogs to comment & spread political hatred——how ridiculous. I had entered into this newly found blog with my jaw on the floor at the quality of it, it was great…I was thoroughly enjoying it & had even bookmarked it & then BAM…I found the only thing the blogger could really do was decorate a NY apartment…other than that, she was a let down :( She had just spent numerous posts bagging on Bush, very hatefully & yet one contrasting opinion to hers was met with name calling & below the belt beatings. I was pleased to see that 3 out of the 28 comments after her HATE BUSH post were attempts at educating her on politics. It warmed my heart.
For YEARS all these folks have done is point at and blame anyone that had an “R” after their name or proclaimed themselves a Conservative. And now their time has come, they’ve got it all, the whole damn enchilada & they are freaking out! They are either paralyzed with fear (on some matters) or dealing with it from the hip (on others). They are a dangerous group and are making me miserable!
But I don’t like misery. So I decided on a cure. I need a little sweetness. So I whipped up a mean, man-oh-man is it mean, bread pudding…and a (holy smoke I LOVE this stuff) Jack Daniel’s whiskey butter sauce to smother it in.
Good idea!
Fresh from the oven, warm & perfectly “custard-y” I cut a square, placed it on my plate…drizzled it with the JD sauce & piled on the whipped cream. Then, regardless of being in crisis mode, in need of my bread pudding fix (and in a BAD way I might add), I displayed absolute conservative control & slowly savored every last bite. DELIGHT!
After finishing this thing of beauty, I smiled— knowing that all Janeane Garofalo & the likes have to offer is their big fat yap…a bunch of hot air escaping from their pie holes…still mouthing off vintage (yeah, by now I guess we can call them vintage) Bush bashing slogans…most of them could NEVER make a man-oh-man-mean bread pudding!
On a humorous note: “Garofalo” comes up on spell check and I KID YOU NOT, one option is GARGOYLE!
Thanks to my dear friend Chris for forwarding this SWEET reference!
Presented in terms EVERYONE can understand, here’s ONE TRILLION DOLLARS VISUALIZED:
WOW—A trillion dollars will buy a $3 latte—every day—for the next 900 million years!
It’s frightening to think that a trillion dollars is only one-tenth of the current bailout.
Don’t these numbers make YOU uncomfortable?
After being on the receiving end of much criticism of how America has been run over the past 8 years, I find it interesting that the Obama voters cannot bear the heat as well.
I have found it disturbingly ironic that many in the Democratic demographic, the self proclaimed socially just, caring, empathetic, sympathetic, generous and kind population, continually makes a laughing stock of themselves.
In several facebook debates since the election, I have been horrified to see the hearts of some of the people who do not agree with me. It is interesting to see that when I or my husband try to debate an issue it is inevitably returned with a personal attack.
I have been called an f*ing retard in a discussion about global warming. I have been called an antisemite recently in regards to a comment about Jesus being killed by the Jews. And just the other day, my husband was told he hated poor people because of his stance on public health care.
For the record, I take great personal offense to the first personal attack because I worked with people in the MRDD population for 8+ years of my life. They are precious to me. How disturbing that anyone would use these loving people in attempt to humiliate me.
Also, global warming or climate change or whatever ridiculous thing you want to call it is still being debated, and honestly, by the summer we’ve been having here, clearly in my mind this truly is nothing but a ploy to tax me for nothing in order to pay for the exceedingly faulty stimulus plan. It is in fact, NOT a settled science no matter what statistics you want to pour out before me.
So I ask, am I a f*ing retard?
Second of all, Jesus was killed by the Jews. They were the ones who plotted and planned and illegally held a trial in the dark of night (hmm sounds like our congress) making decisions which would affect the entire scope of humanity. Though it was the Romans that actually nailed him to the cross, the Jews were the ones crying “crucify him”–and I am well aware that I was in the crowd as well, that day because I have done just as much to put him on that cross, as the evil that took place in the middle of the night.
I have studied scripture now for 13 plus years and have walked with the Israelites thru nearly every major event that I have encountered so far. They are like family to me, and the Patriarchs, like dear friends. Presently I am studying the book of Esther. I have been getting up early on Saturdays during the summer to lead a group at 7:30am, in order to study the life of this young Jewish girl.
I watch very carefully how America aligns itself with Israel. I am well aware of how God deals with people and nations against his chosen people. We need to be allies with them for our own good. It is interesting to see how our country is now dealing with Israel. Scary.
And so I ask you, am I an antisemite?
Finally, (until my next debate I’m sure), my husband was told “You don’t like poor people and have no idea what their lives are like. You feel entititlement like many people I know.” Of course, when she said that to him, I felt accused as well.
Apparently my husband hadn’t told her that before this year, we were, as a couple making an annual income barely above poverty level. We chose to make our health care a priority and paid $821 a month in order to have decent coverage. Did we have cable? no. Did we have a flat screen tv? no. Did we have a fancy shiny new car? no. Did we have new clothes? no.
Not only that, but during this time frame, we were also tithing 10% of whatever we made, to our church for missions. Where does the missions money go? Well, to help poor and needy people in our city, across our county and infact all over the world.
On top of that, while we were making barely above poverty level income, we were still finding ways to support poor and needy people around us, financially, thru prayers and physical help as the need arose.
I speak of these things NOT to bring glory to myself, because we were only able to do these things because God put it on our hearts and gave us the ability to do so. It was not of us. It was of him. BUT we did it.
And so I ask you, do we NOT like poor people?
Look in the mirror. Search your heart. You are not who you claim to be. I am embarrassed for you. I eagerly await some true debates if they are out there, rather than ill-applied attacks on myself and my loved ones.
It seems almost surreal, but I guess as the old saying goes, truth is stranger than fiction. In this case, truth is scarier than fiction too. Seriously, do we really need another elected official asking for “free stuff” from our government? Do these people not realize that it’s not the government’s money they are asking for, it’s WE THE PEOPLE’s money? Would it matter to them even if they did realize it? I shudder to think.
Bottom line is this: Collectively, these “tiny towns” who stand in line for a handout, simply because they think it is owed to them, are going to EAT THIS COUNTRY.
Our current administration will take no part in teaching self reliance, they are all about teaching government reliance which GUARANTEES them reelection which guarantees a slow spiral down the doom-drain for our country. We NEED to stand up against those who are teaching these dangerous lessons in our great country. Stand up against the “Alligators”.
(O.K. it is a reference to a crocodile NOT an alligator but you get the picture.)
Palin released a statement about her resignation, which paralleled a story from long ago:
Her name was Esther. She was lovely, according to the story, a young, jewish woman, married to the King of Persia, which put her in a powerful political position. At the request of King Xerxes’ right hand man- Haman, all the Jews were to be put to death. It was because of Queen Esther’s cousin, Mordedai who refused to bow to Haman, that the edict was passed.
After finding out about the edict, Mordecai (her cousin) asked her to go before the King and plead for the lives of the Jews. She feared for her life because no one was to approach the king without being extended the golden scepter. But Esther, with her peoples lives -as well as her own- at stake, decided to approach the king. “If I perish, I perish.”
And so centuries later, we come to Sarah Palin. A lovely, young, christian conservative woman who has been given the awesome priviledge of running for the royal position of Vice President of the United States of America. She sees that this government (Haman) has voted on and signed an edict to wipe out the livelihoods of every American.
After refusing to bow to the insanity that is government, and hearing the people asking her to plead for our lives, she undoubtedly contemplated what was actually taking place in her state and her country. Presumably, she weighed all her options. She knew what she had to do. Her people’s lives, as well as her own, were at stake.
Palin came before the government and the media who in effect would kill her and her people, OR allow her and her people to live. So with a boldness of character, and with a certainy of the one who truly is behind the scenes, we see our lovely Sarah come out and say for her people, “If I die, I die.”
This is barney frank (I intentionally use lower case letters when referring to him) as seen through the eyes of my 9 year old then translated in “white out pen” & red ink on a blue post-it note base. A stunning likeness that makes me roar with laughter & pride in his artistic ability (my son that is, NOT barney frank).
So after we witnessed Chip Reid and Helen Thomas grilling Gibbs on the lack of transparency of the administration, on calling the press before hand to let them know that they will be called on during the press conferences, on screening the people and their questions before the town hall meeting, President Obama somehow calls on a woman “out of the blue” with cancer, Debby Smith-53, who cannot get healthcare. HMMM.
The good news? The press called it for what it was, “Emotion, but few details.” And now we know, it was PLANNED emotion at that. Seriously? This woman was put on display for this? So disturbing on so many levels.
The media-natives appear to be sharpening their spears.
This is a MUST see for those of you who are exhausted over the way the media conducts themselves in the STAGED White House press conferences and town hall meetings that the Obama administration has held thus far.
Chip Reid & Helen Thomas BOTH expose this ongoing dog & pony show for exactly what it is—PATHETIC.
Admittedly, I get more than a slight bit of satisfaction from watching Robert Gibbs squirm as if he is on fire. WATCH THIS!
Exit question: Why oh WHY is this administration so hell bent on pushing computers, computers, computers & emailing…”email your question” & Facebook & any other technology they toss about as if they are sooooo far advanced, so SUPERIOR…their smug attitudes are insulting to Americans who are elderly or not technologically savvy. Granted, one day in the next 15-20 years EVERYONE in the USA just might be hooked up to high speed internet BUT I DOUBT IT. I don’t think my husband’s 101 year old grandmother would be able to EMAIL A QUESTION to the White House for its review—Would that make her question any less worthy of an answer?
We are Conservative.
Overly weary of liberals asserting they are the ONLY "classification of people" with creative DNA, the Crafty Conservative was born.
A space to talk, vent & let off the steam generated by the constant hypocrisy, blatant denial and overall elitist attitude displayed by the miserable left.
