NOW backs a conservative?

Clearly the world is, in fact, coming to an end.

The National Organization for Women has sided with Sarah Palin on the disgust they feel for David Letterman’s disturbingly crude jokes about Palin’s daughter.

They sided with a CONSERVATIVE WOMAN.

“They also criticized Letterman for joking about what he called Palin’s “slutty flight attendant look” as yet another example of how the media love to focus on a woman politician’s appearance, especially as it relates to her sexual appeal to men.” Ron Moore, June 12, 2009

Unfortunately I don’t see you calling for him to be fired, ladies. Do we remember what happened to Imus for his comments? And unlike Dave, he apologized.

Kim Gandy, president of the National Organization for Women, who called Don Imus’ words “beyond racist and sexist.” Her organization launched a drive in the midst of the Imus dust-up for members to contact Imus’ corporate bosses at CBS Corp. and NBC Universal to demand his firing. And Imus WAS fired. Why not the same force with Letterman? Why not the same venom? Why not call for his resignation or demand HIS firing?

Well, I guess, one step at a time. Somehow, in this messed up world we live in, NOW and I have fallen into agreement on something. Now THAT is some change I wasn’t expecting.
