Arizona girl is a self proclaimed political news junkie who lives in downtown Phoenix. She is a baseball mom, small business owner, a master of the sewing machine & can build just about anything out of scrap. She is constantly looking beyond an object’s original purpose & is the master of multi tasking (as most moms are!). Her mantra is “TEACH SELF RELIANCE”

Ohio girl I believe. I am an American. I am a wife. I am a mom. I am an artist. I am a conservative. I am a political junkie.
My political obsession began soon after I moved home from Arizona. I had a studio space in a ratty old warehouse building in downtown Toledo. I found myself arriving to the studio by 7:30am every morning in an effort to put in the hours needed to produce artwork that would sell from my newly established art business. None of the artists that I shared the space with, showed up until well into the afternoon…so I had no one to chat with for most of the day. It was precisely at that time that I started befriending talk radio.
I began piecing together bits of truth –what I could understand at that point, anyway. I wanted to “get it.” I wanted to know how all of these events were affecting me, my family, my future and my nation. But every day, when my husband would get home from work, he would have to review with me everything from that day’s news cycle—until one day, I truly began understanding politics without having to be spoon fed.
Blessing or curse, (the jury is still out on that one) it happened.
Today, I listen to political news all day, every day, while I paint, frost cookies, do my photograpy, help kids with homework, do laundry, bills, etc. I seek out the truth. I seek out what people deliberately overlook, and try to present it in a way to make people think. I teach my kids about the greatness of this country, to have pride in America, to know that they have been blessed to be born in a free nation, to work hard, to help those in need and to live knowing that liberty and freedom are not only a right, declared by the Constitution of this great nation, they are a God given gift, a mindset, a heart-thing, that NO ONE can take away, regardless of who is in power.
